All families are welcome to have children's teeth

(345 Sherbourne Street) which is a multicultural downtown senior’s center.

You can meet us in the PFLC and we will walk over to the Rekai Centre for 9:40.  
Or you can meet us there for 10:00.

Farewell Pot~Luck Lunch ~ Dec 7





To celebrate Des' last day at the PFLC, we will be having a Pot~luck lunch on December 7th from 11:30-12:30!

Please bring in your favourite dish, big enough to serve five to six people.

FREE Vision Screening ~ December 14


FREE Vision Screening 
will happen at Sprucecourt Public School
on Wednesday, December 14,  2016 at 9:00. 
The criteria for the screening is
1) Your child is entering kindergarten in September 2017
2) You have a concern about your child's vision
3) You just want to make sure your child's vision is okay.

SPRUCECOURT COLD WEATHER WEAR EXCHANGE

Winter is cold, but kids don’t have to be!  

To address a school-wide need for cold weather wear at Sprucecourt Public School, we are accepting clothing donations from November 3 - 17.   

Our students are in need of gently used, washed winter wear across all grades (J.K. – grade 8).

With our sincere thanks, we are accepting donations of:

Donations can be collected and brought to the PFLC (Room 111).

Toronto Intergenerational Partnerships in Community (TIGP)
will be in the PFLC to begin a dialogue about a partnership
between the PFLC and The Rekai Centre.
It is my hope that the PFLC can visit The Rekai Centre
once a month
to develop connections with the seniors who reside here.

April 13 ~ Wear Pink Day!

Wednesday, April 13 is
WEAR PINK DAY!

On April 9, staff and students from across the Toronto District School Board will be wearing pink to mark International Day of Pink.  This is a day of action, created when a youth in a high school in Cambridge, Nova Scotia was bullied because he wore a pink shirt to school. His fellow students decided to stand up to bullying; and hundreds of students came to school wearing pink to show support for diversity and stopping discrimination, gender-based bullying, homophobia and transphobia.

A few of us Elementary Teachers and ECEs who are on parental leave will be hosting an upcoming EDUTALK session!
We'll be fielding all your questions relating to education... such as "How do I pick a school?" "When does my child have to start?" "What is this EQAO testing?" "What are IEPs?" "What services and consultants are there for my child?" and any other wonderings you might have!
We hope that you can join us! Bring your little ones, too! And yes, there will be tea and coffee!
